Former Mecom, Endemol and Disney senior executive, Tom Toumazis is to join The Lad Bible group board as a non-executive director.

Most recently at Yahoo as head of partnerships EMEA, Toumazis will work closely with chief executive Solly Solomou and the publisher's management team to develop the business further with a particular focus on commercial growth, content development and international expansion.

The firm has also brought on board Jonathan Durden, formerly president and co-founder of global agency PHD, as a senior advisor and hired tech investment bank GP Bullhound as corporate advisor.

Commenting on the shake up Solomou said: “It’s a big statement for The Lad Bible Group to bring guys of the calibre of Tom and Jonathan into the business. Iknow they will help us as we continue to expand our understanding of youth audiences and scale our ambitions into the international space."

Toumazis added: “I’m very excited to be joining the board of such a vibrant and successful business which has such a clear set of ambitions about being a youth media brand, both in the UK and internationally. There is a confidence and clarity of vision that I have very rarely seen.”

Speaking to The Drum earlier this year, marketing director Mimi Turner said the group was "on a journey" to expand its understanding of new social platforms for its 26 million followers.

The appointments are to take place with immediate effect.
