Fox to bring in Hope Hicks as CCO
Hope Hicks, the former White House communications officer, has been named executive vice president and chief communications officer at Fox, the new entity that will emerge after the Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox merge.

The 29-year-old served as White House communications officer for the first year of Donald Trump's presidency. She will assume her new position after the Disney-Fox merger is complete next year.
With Hicks coming in, current chief communications officer for 21st Century Fox Julie Henderson is reportedly stepping down. Communications senior vice president Nathaniel Brown will reportedly not be moving to the new Fox entity either.
Fox chief legal and policy officer Viet Dinh appointed Hicks. He also made Danny O’Brien executive vice president and head of government relations. O'Brien was the former government relations leader at GE.
“Hope and Danny are proven leaders and world-class public affairs professionals," said Dinh. "Together they will define and project Fox’s voice to our relevant communities."
The Drum reached out to 21st Century Fox for further information, but the company is not commenting beyond the announcement. Hicks is declining to comment.
The Disney-Fox merger will see Rupert Murdoch's media empire center around broadcast television. Disney is buying the 20th Century Fox studio, FX Networks and other assets for $71.3bn.
The new Fox will include Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Sports and the highly profitable Fox News.
