S3 Advertising kicks off new year with raft of new business

While last year is probably best left exactly where it is, Welsh creative agency S3 Advertising has an exciting 12 months ahead as the team not only works on several new briefs, but also gets set to release a new look in a matter of weeks.

The agency, which was bought out by its senior management team in 2019, is set to unveil a new brand identity before the end of January, and a strategy that pinpoints the sectors it wants to focus on moving forward.

With retail and e-commerce among them, Whites of Beaconsfield – which offers home teeth whitening kits – has chosen S3 as its retainer digital agency after an initial three-month campaign that saw the team increase conversions, their conversion rate and decrease CPA across Google search, display, YouTube, Snapchat and TikTok.

Meanwhile, when MDCV UK first contacted S3, it was in need of a name and logo for its business that makes wine from around the world accessible for everyone to discover and enjoy. Enter ‘The Wine Caverns’ – a brand that S3’s strategy team has built to include its positioning, identity and guidelines. It led to support for a brand new website, including copywriting and design – and now, a digital campaign will ensure all the hard work is seen by its target audience.

After representing SofaSofa briefly in summer 2020, the independent family-run upholstery business has chosen S3 as its retainer PR agency for 2021. It comes on the back of a timely piece of newsjacking that saw the furniture brand mentioned during the Welsh first minister’s daily coronavirus briefing, earning over 26m opportunities to see.

Elsewhere, and following an incredibly successful social engagement campaign that ran alongside Clogau’s Christmas TV advert and OOH, the existing client is branching out and utilising more of the agency’s services. With the campaign achieving a 50% increase in reach and 71% increase in engagement on the previous seven-week period, the Welsh jewellery brand is placing its organic social media management and monthly content creation in the hands of S3’s dedicated team.

Finally, as Wales becomes the first part of the UK to introduce landmark legislation banning smoking on hospital grounds, school grounds and public playgrounds, S3 Advertising will help the Welsh Government and Public Health Wales get the word out. The tender win means that through television, radio, OOH, print and programmatic advertising, as well as a PR and stakeholder communications campaign, the people of Wales will be well-informed that more smoke-free spaces are being introduced from 1 March.
