Channel 4 invites creative dinner parties with ‘Come Mine With Me’ world

ITV Studios label MultiStory Media and Metaverse creative agency Metavision have created a Minecraft challenge for Come Dine With Me fans. Cleverly named ‘Come Mine With Me’, the experience tasks fans with being the ultimate dinner party host in a newly released Minecraft world.

Will players take part with “all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tires on” or will they take home the money, “what a sad life.”

From the newly created town of Minechester, players can shop at custom stores, from a grocer’s to a builder’s yard, discover new recipes and host friends for dinner. Of course, ending in them granting a score out of 10.

With the show now being commissioned in 46 territories across the world, there’s a large global fanbase to entertain with the experience. Teasing the experience is show narrator Dave Lamb in the launch video.

Ryan Norrington, creative lead at Metavision, said: “The format feels like it was designed from the very beginning to be played with friends on Minecraft.”

Emma Derrick, commercial innovation leader at Channel 4, added: “Come Dine With Me is already a hugely popular show, providing viewers with all the drama and excitement through its iconic format; I think we’ve all secretly wanted to take part ourselves.”
