Swedish energy giant hires Cara Delevingne to promote its clean energy via a face mist
The model is the new face of Vattenfall as she fronts a new campaign to promote a limited-edition face mist produced from industrial waste.
Cara Delevingne embodies the beauty of fossil-free Hydrogen for Vattenfall
That campaign aims to highlight the clean emissions of hydrogen, which produces only water as a waste product. Water from a Swedish steel plant has been repurposed as a hydration spray for the skin.
Developed by Nord DDB, the high-profile campaign channels Delevingne’s climate activism to promote carbon-less fuel as the future of clean energy.
Paul Morel, brand campaign manager at Vattenfall, said: “Recognizing Cara’s important voice as a climate advocate in her community, we believe the partnership is perfect to raise awareness and inform people about fossil-free hydrogen, which we believe will be a very powerful tool to decarbonize industries.
“We’re not entering the beauty world, but this is a new way for us to send a message in an unexpected way.”

Merging the beauty and energy industries, the messaging will be conveyed Europe-wide across TV, cinema, digital and social.
A digitized depiction of Delevingne recently appeared in Times Square as part of the launch of a gender-neutral fashion collection with the late Karl Lagerfeld.
