Ad of the Day: Liquid Death promos new album with its first-ever music video
Tony Hawk shows off his singing chops for the water brand, while members of My Chemical Romance, No Doubt and At the Drive-In also appear on the album.
From tazing its internet critics to manufacturing a Blink-182-themed enema, Liquid Death is keen to solidify its place in history as an undeniably punk rock water brand.
And, what better way to do so than by producing hate-filled music? Today, Liquid Death released its third full studio album, Greatest Hates Volume III. And according to the album’s promo video, its main source of inspiration was real hate comments the brand gets online.

Available to stream on Spotify and YouTube or to purchase on vinyl, it is a 10-track 80s dance-pop album featuring vocals and instrumentation from celebrities such as skateboarder Tony Hawk, Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, No Doubt’s Tony Kanal, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Tony Hajarr of At the Drive-In and more. Its songs include Worst Name For A Water Company, You Deserve Your Mouth Pissed In, This Is Very Demonic and Rather Cut My Own Dick Off.
”It wasn’t until I lent my vocals to Worst Name For A Water Company that I realized my true potential as a singer,” commented Tony Hawk. ”I am now ready to boldly step into my next career thanks to the foresight of Liquid Death. Rick Rubin better be ready.”

The new album follows Greatest Hates Volume I and II, which have collectively garnered over 627,000 streams on Spotify and about 2,700 monthly listeners since their releases in 2020.
Frank Iero, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for emo greats My Chemical Romance, added: ”I had a blast working on this song for Liquid Death. Not only does it make a great product that I really enjoy, but I think it is super smart and hyper-creative about the way it markets itself. I got to play some Nile Rodgers-inspired guitars on it while drinking some delicious tea. Plus, the song is a total earworm.”

Along with the album, Liquid Death has launched its first-ever music video for the single Fuck Whoever Started This. In the music video, internet haters are burned at the stake in a Crucible-caliber witch hunt.
The campaign was developed by Liquid Death’s in-house creative team. ”We’re really thankful to all the amazing guests who appeared on this album,” Andy Pearson, vice-president of creative at Liquid Death, told The Drum. ”But we’re even more grateful to all the internet commenters who helped us write it. We didn’t have to pen a single lyric. Every single word was taken verbatim from real internet haters.”
